The SPL SOX-E 26W lamp is a low-pressure sodium vapor lamp with a U-shaped discharge tube enclosed in clear outer glass. This Master SOX-E is a widely used sodium lamp in public lighting. The color rendering is monochromatic (in a narrow light spectrum) and emits yellow light. It has the highest lumen/watt ratio of all gas lamps.
Application . This SOX-E is used for illuminating streets, tunnels, parking lots, and other general public places where safety plays a role. Often wall or ceiling luminaires (flush or surface-mounted) and lampposts. The MASTER SOX-E lamps with a black BY22d lamp base are used with an electronic ballast.
Lifespan of the SOX-E. Failure of 20% at 12,000 hours and 50% failure at 18,000 hours on electronic ballast. The light output at 25°C is 100-206 Lm/watt. This Master SOX-E lamp is NOT dimmable.
Available in color rendering 1700K (yellow orange) and in wattages 36W, 55W, 90W, 135W, and 180W. Color rendering index (Ra) is 44. Burn position H110 (35 and 55W).
