This Philips Master TL-D eco TL tube has a very good light quality. Please note that this lamp should not be used in refrigerators because it has an operating temperature of >20 degrees Celsius.

Lifetime of the Philips Master TL-D Eco is approximately 20,000 hours with a conventional ballast and 17,000 hours with an electronic ballast. This fluorescent lamp with G13 lamp base is dimmable on the right ballast. The PHILIPS MASTER TL-D ECO is interchangeable with the other Super 80 lamps. Approx. 75 - 90 Lumen/Watt depending on Wattage.

• For use in indoor applications with room temperatures higher than 20 °C (meaning that the temperature around the lamp is more than 25-35 °C)
Primarily aimed at offices, schools and hospitals; secondary to retail, industry, supermarkets
• Not recommended under the following conditions:
- with air flow around the lamps - in luminaires with active air treatment (lamp temperature does not reach the required 25-35 °C, but only the room temperature) - in open luminaires/beams that hang close to air conditioning outlets or in cold air currents.
- in spaces above freezers (the temperature can easily drop below 20 °C) - in combination with VRUs (Voltage Reduction Unit - voltage regulator

Defective PHILIPS MASTER TL-D ECO 51W/840 lamp is easy to recognize by the black breakdown in the lamp at the end on 1 side! If this is the case on both sides, the ballast is often broken. Usually the lamp slowly starts to give less light from 10,000 to 12,000 hours. It may be wise to replace it in good time due to the risk of the electronic ballast becoming defective. Changing the PHILIPS MASTER TL-D ECO 51W/840 with 2 pins on each side can be done by turning it out of the socket with a gentle rotation 90 degrees to the left or right. De-energizing the fixture is necessary to allow the lamp to burn, but it is also safer.
